ABOUT LISA BRUDER
A Lifetime of Service, A Heart for Boone County
Boone County isn’t just where I live; it’s the place that shaped who I am.
Growing up in the southwest part of the county, my childhood was measured in bike rides to my grandparents' house and the lessons of a large, loving family. My parents raised me with a simple foundation: Put God first, cherish your family, and always lead with a servant’s heart. Those aren't just words to me—they are the compass I use every day as your Clerk.
I am a proud Western Boone Alum (and yes, I still hold that tennis record for most wins 30 years later!). After earning my degree in Paralegal Applied Science, I dedicated my career to our local justice system. From serving as a Bailiff for Circuit Court to working alongside several local attorneys, I have spent decades learning the heartbeat of our courts.
I was hired under Penny Bogan in January 2007. In 2014, I began serving as First Deputy under Jessica Fouts. For eight years, I was mentored in the "Boone County way" of doing things: with integrity, accuracy, and a door that is always open. When you elected me in 2022, I hit the ground running because I didn’t need a manual—I had the experience.
My husband Randy and I are so blessed to raise our family here. While our oldest, Kara and Nathan, are starting their own journeys as adults, our youngest, Phoebe, is still a Western Boone Star. Like any parent, I want to see Boone County grow and thrive, but I want to fight to keep the small-town heart that makes us special.
I am not just asking for your vote; I am asking to continue serving the home I love.
I am always here to listen. Please reach out with any questions—my door is always open.
